Today, is the last day of school for Bijou and to be honest, I've been dreading it a little bit. Of course, I'm excited to spend more time with her and we have a ton of fun summer plans but I'm not sure how I will manage to post to Picnic everyday. And posting to Picnic everyday is something I enjoy tremendously. I will try my best, but my posts will have a slightly different look and feel since all of my projects for the next 3 months will be assisted by a 3-year-old.
I will definitely be referencing Rookie Moms a lot this summer for some activity ideas to do with my preschooler. Thanks Whitney & Heather for the link love yesterday!
To start the summer off right, I made this smock dress from the fabric I picked up at the flea market last Sunday.
The pattern is from Weekend Sewing, I highly recommend this book. It's great even for the beginner sewer.
Way too cute. I'm a beginner sewer... if I had a daughter I would definitely try that dress. As it stands I don't think my 4 month old son would appreciate it. :)
