I'm pretty sure Bijou is the last of her friends to have a play kitchen but it was worth the wait. Thank you so much Dad for all those hours you spent in your wood shop making this for Bijou! She loves it! It's so nice looking that we all like having it center stage in our living room.
A step stool.
This week's "kitchen games" have included grocery store and restaurant. We like to add our own twists by pretending to forget to bring money to the grocery store and then we have to show off a talent to barter for the food. Yesterday, I figured out how to integrate another one of our favorite games, "doctor." We pretended to have a sushi restaurant and then I ate a bad piece of fish and got sick so the doctor (Bijou) had to come to the restaurant to take a look at me.
Note: Playing "doctor" is great for those days you feel tired or sick because laying on the couch with your eyes closed is considered playing by my little boss lady. I think I've out-smarted the boss lady for once.
Dish set from Ikea.
I think this bake set calls for some handmade child size aprons, right?
Faux stainless steel refrigerator.
Pantry/refrigerator.
Chalkboard from Ikea and milk bottles from Haba. As you can see, we are going to have a party.
Bamboo utensils.

This is the nicest playkitchen i've ever seen. Very modern. I have two boys, but i think they may like a playkitchen. Where did you get the shopping cart?

I hope someone got a "World's Best Grandpa" tee-shirt. This is so precious. Love it.
I hope you don't mind that I blogged about it.
